
"Closing Ceremony with GLW 2024 Participants and Committee"
Malang, September 10, 2024 - The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), State University of Malang (UM) has held a non-degree training program entitled "Global Leadership Week" with the theme Leadership and Entrepreneurship to Support Sustainable Development. The program lasts for three weeks, starting on August 19 to September 5, 2024, with the aim of strengthening students' leadership skills and entrepreneurial understanding amidst today's global challenges.
The program involves a wide range of individuals from overseas consisting of students and practitioners from various countries, with a primary focus on leadership development and entrepreneurship. The program was designed to help participants enhance their knowledge in supporting sustainable development through innovation and responsible business. The program was attended by 150 participants from various countries, creating a multicultural atmosphere that encouraged the exchange of global knowledge and experience. In addition, five presenters from various countries, namely Russia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Kenya, and Indonesia, provided material related to leadership challenges in the era of globalization as well as innovative entrepreneurial practices. These presenters are experts and practitioners in their fields, providing rich and diverse insights.
Non Degree Training Global Leadership Week FEB UM is implemented because it can provide great opportunities for students to develop leadership skills in a global context. In the era of globalization, the ability to lead and collaborate across cultures is one of the main skills that are needed. This training allows participants to learn from experts and practitioners in various fields, both at the national and international levels, and expand their professional networks. In addition, Global Leadership Week focuses on forming an understanding of global challenges relevant to the fields of economics and business. This is very important for FEB UM students so that they are ready to face global dynamics and have a broader insight into business practices in various countries.
Through this training, participants can also improve their ability to adapt, think critically, and make strategic decisions in a fast-changing environment. This is in line with the university's vision to create graduates who are competitive in the global market. By facilitating opportunities for students to participate in internationally oriented programs, FEB UM also strengthens the quality of education and the competitiveness of its students at the world level.

The training took place from August 19 to September 5, 2024 at the Faculty of Economics and Business, State University of Malang, Malang, Indonesia. Using a hybrid method with face-to-face and video conferencing, the participants were very enthusiastic about participating in this activity. As a support for this activity, the committee uses the UM MOOC learning platform which is very flexible and capable of providing information and assessments for participants.

The program aims to provide participants with insights into global leadership and entrepreneurship that support the sustainable development agenda. Field Activity in sustainable economy for GLW 2024 participants
Over the course of three weeks, participants attended a series of training sessions, discussions and practices. Each session is designed to encourage active interaction between participants and presenters, and to delve deeper into the challenges and opportunities of implementing sustainable entrepreneurship. Participants will also participate in group projects that challenge them to design entrepreneurial solutions relevant to the needs of the global community.
