International Outbound Mobility by FEB UM Students at UKM and UPM Malaysia: Enhancing Academic Excellence through Global Learning<\/strong><\/p>\n

MALAYSIA, June 22, 2024 - 22 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, State University of Malang (FEB UM), accompanied by three lecturers, have participated in the International Outbound Mobility program at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Sekolah Indonesia Johor Bahru, from June 18-22, 2024. The program with the theme \"Enhancing Academic Excellence through Global Learning\" aims to improve the academic quality of students through global learning and international collaboration.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In this program, FEB UM students take part in various academic activities designed to broaden their horizons on economic and business studies in an international context. These activities include sit-in classes and discussions with lecturers from UKM and UPM. Through direct interaction with academics and practitioners from various countries, FEB UM students are expected to gain new perspectives and deepen their understanding of global economic issues. This is an effort to support the achievement of SDGs 4 and 17, namely on quality education and partnerships to achieve goals.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the highlights of the program was a guest lecture session delivered by Dr. Sheerad Sahid from UKM and Dr. Anusuiya Subramaniam from UPM. In the lecture, the two senior lecturers discussed current topics in economics and business, such as innovation in the digital economy and global marketing strategies. FEB UM students were very enthusiastic in attending this lecture and actively participated in the question and answer session, showing high interest in the material presented.<\/span><\/p>\n

Apart from academic activities, FEB UM students are also invited to participate in cultural and social activities. They visited several historical and cultural places in Malaysia, such as the Petronas Twin Towers, Dataran Meredeka and Central Market. This activity not only enriches their learning experience but also strengthens intercultural relations and friendship between Indonesian and Malaysian students.<\/span><\/p>\n

Deputy Dean 1 of the UM Faculty of Economics and Business, Dr. Satia Nur Maharani, S.E., M.SA., Ak., CSRS, expressed his satisfaction with the success of this program. \"We are very proud of the enthusiasm and active participation of our students. This program provides them with valuable opportunities to learn and collaborate in an international environment, which will be very beneficial for their future academic and professional development,\" said Dr. Satia.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the participating students, Adam, shared his experience during the program. \"This is a great experience. I learned a lot from the lecturers and students here, and I feel more prepared to face challenges in the working world later. I also made many new friends from different countries, which makes this experience even more valuable,\" Adam said.<\/span><\/p>\n

This International Outbound Mobility program shows FEB UM's commitment to improving the quality of education through international collaboration and global learning.
